Bahama Blue

Bahama Blue

There’s a place where the ocean turns the color of dreams and the sky puts on a new show every hour. That place is the Sea of Abaco, a protected stretch of turquoise water nestled among the out islands of the Bahamas, and it’s where I recently sailed with a group of Scouts on a weeklong adventure that stirred my soul and filled my camera.

As both a photographer and a Scout leader, I boarded the boat ready for the unknown. What I didn’t expect was how deeply the island light, open skies, and rhythms of the sea would imprint themselves not only in photographs, but in memory.

Each island we visited felt like a new chapter in a living postcard.

On Elbow Cay, there was the Hope Town Lighthouse, bathed in warm light while pastel cottages and flowering palms whispered quiet greetings. These images became some of my favorite, something that feels both timeless and coastal-chic, perfect for brightening a hallway or beach house gallery wall.

In Man-O-War Cay, the clouds gave us relief from the sun, while the legacy of handmade boats lingered in every dock line and paint-chipped boathouse. The images I captured there are filled with maritime life and full of Bahamian spirit.

Scotland Cay gave me peace: light, sea blue waters and coral sands as for as you can see. And on Great Guana Cay, there was joy in color through a painterly mix of coral reefs, sunset clouds, and the easy chaos of beach bars and driftwood walkways.

Each photograph in my Bahamas fine art collection tells part of this story. Whether it’s the drift of the full moon or the charming and plenty shades of blue that make up the Bahamas. These are not just landscapes, they are memories and the magic of the coastal life that those that pass through fall in love with.

And now you can Bring Home the Places You Love.
