Something Wonderful is Going to Happen to Me Today

Something Wonderful is Going to Happen to Me Today

It is simple. It is a little brave. It is also wildly practical.

I started saying it out loud the way you might open a window in the morning. Not because every day is perfect. Not because life needs a pep talk. But because attention is a powerful thing, and I want mine to land on what is still good, still beautiful, still possible.

And if you live in San Clemente, you know this already: wonderful shows up here in quiet ways.

The photograph I am sharing with this post is in black and white. Color is gorgeous, but black and white makes you pay attention differently. It asks you to notice light, geometry, contrast. It turns the scene into a memory you can step into, even if you have never stood there in real life.

Ole Hanson Beach Club is part of the visual heartbeat of San Clemente. It is history, design, ocean, and community in one glance. It is the intersection of old California charm and everyday coastal life, which is exactly the kind of wonder I want to look for on purpose.

San Clemente is good at gifting you moments. When you repeat a mantra like this, you start collecting proof.

A clean line of surf at North Beach. A pelican cutting across the sky. The marine layer lifting just enough to let the coastline glow. Small things. Real things. The kind of wonderful you can actually notice.

Something wonderful is going to happen to me today.
